Views of the Church Street playing field in modern times
Formed in 1958 by a teacher and ex-pupils of the Sir William Nottidge School, this club enjoyed a decade of almost continuous success in local football. During those years, it carried the Whitstable banner against the best that Canterbury, Herne Bay and Faversham could offer and it made Church Street playing field a fortress from which few opponents could hope to leave with a victory.
More than 50 local youngsters passed through the ranks of the club's first team and many more played for the second team. Most had attended the Nottidge and Whitstable Boys Schools and this made them true "Old Boys" of Whitstable. We can now tell their story.
